- Environment – Tidesy is designed for indoor use only and must be kept away from moisture, direct sunlight, and outdoor elements. Exposure to rain, humidity, salt air, or extreme temperatures can compromise the integrity of its wooden frame, damage internal electronics, and affect display performance. To ensure long-term reliability and accurate tide readings, Tidesy should be installed in a dry, climate-controlled environment—ideally on a stable surface away from windows, sinks, or other sources of condensation.

Frame:
- The main body uses PLA, a plant‑based, non‑toxic, biodegradable thermoplastic, offered in black, white, gray and sand for a clean, modern foundation. There are also faceplates available made of PLA matching the frame in black, white, gray, and sand.
- A choice of wooden faceplates lets you shift the aesthetic toward natural warmth with cherry, maple, basswood, or walnut.
- For a more vibrant or contemporary look, the acrylic faceplate comes in red, black, white, blue, or teal, and every body–faceplate combination is fully customizable.
- The frame comes with a stand that can be adjusted to two angles, and the body of the frame has a mounting hole.

- Every Tidesy is set up for you before it leaves our workshop. We use your shipping address to pick the three NOAA tide stations closest to you, check that each one is reporting good data, and load them onto your display, so the first thing you see is your own coast rather than a setup menu. A card in the box and an email before delivery tell you exactly which stations we chose and why.
- We also tune your tide alerts to the water you actually live on. Tides differ hugely from place to place: a few inches on the Gulf, two feet in Hawaii, ten on the Pacific Northwest coast. So we look at the last three months of tides at your main station and set your warning level and your preferred "best beach time" window to match. Want something different? Every setting can be changed from your phone in seconds.
