Exposure to rain, humidity, salt air, or extreme temperatures can compromise the integrity of its wooden frame, damage internal electronics, and affect display performance. To ensure long-term reliability and accurate tide readings, Tidesy should be installed in a dry, climate-controlled environment—ideally on a stable surface away from windows, sinks, or other sources of condensation.

  • Power Supply is NOT included - Most homes already have a drawer full of unused power adapters, and we don’t want to add to that pile. Traditional electronics ship with a new power brick every time, even though most devices use the same basic 5V supply. It’s one of the biggest sources of unnecessary e‑waste — millions of perfectly good adapters end up in landfills each year simply because they’re bundled by default. By using a standard USB power input, Tidesy lets you reuse what you already have and helps cut down on that growing “power supply garbage” problem.

Frame:

  • The main body uses PLA, a plant‑based, non‑toxic, biodegradable thermoplastic, offered in black, white, and gray for a clean, modern foundation.
  • A choice of wooden faceplates lets you shift the aesthetic toward natural warmth with cherry, maple, basswood, or walnut.
  • For a more vibrant or contemporary look, the acrylic faceplate comes in red, black, white, blue, or teal, and every body–faceplate combination is fully customizable.
  • The frame comes with a stand that can be adjusted to two angles, and the body of the frame has a mounting hole.
