Whether you’re creating a peaceful corner in your home or adding a touch of coastal clarity to your workspace, the Tidesy INK is designed to blend in quietly and stand out when it matters. Its crisp 4.2" black‑and‑white e‑paper display delivers tide and weather information with the kind of gentle, paper‑like contrast that’s readable from any angle — even in bright daylight.

Quiet Display, Strong Presence

Tidesy INK is powered by a" e‑paper module, featuring a 400×300 high‑contrast display that renders tide heights, moon phases, and weather conditions with elegant simplicity. E‑paper’s naturally reflective surface means no glare, no harsh backlight, and no distractions — just clean, timeless information that feels right at home in any room. The display is extremely energy efficient which allows the device to run on battery.

Behind the display, an ESP32-S3‑based controller keeps your tide and weather data fresh with efficient, low‑power updates. The result is a device that stays informative all day while consuming only a sip of energy.

Whether it’s resting on your desk, perched on a shelf, or mounted on the wall, Tidesy INK adapts effortlessly to your space. Its included stand offers two viewing angles, and the frame’s built‑in mounting point makes vertical installation simple and secure.

Small, subtle, and beautifully functional — Tidesy INK is your daily connection to the rhythm of the sea.

  • 4.2" E‑Paper Display with 400×300 resolution
  • Black‑and‑white, high‑contrast, paper‑like readability
  • Wide viewing angles with zero glare
  • Ideal for tide charts, icons, and clean typography
  • Powered by ESP32-S3 WROOM – Dual-core 32-bit LX6 microprocessor for smooth performance and smart updates
  • Low‑power operation ideal for e‑paper refresh cycles
  • Runs on DC 5V–2A - USB-C, designed for continuous, low‑energy operation
  • Operating Conditions - Operates from -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 70°C), stores from -22°F to 176°F (-30°C to 80°C)
  • Environment Tidesy E‑Ink is designed for indoor use only. To ensure long‑term reliability and accurate readings, keep it away from moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures. E‑paper is sensitive to humidity and heat, and the frame materials can degrade when exposed to salt air or condensation. A dry, climate‑controlled environment is ideal.
  • Frame 7.5" × 4.4" × 1"
  • Display Area 6.5" × 3.95" of clean, high‑contrast coastal insight
  • Reset button included - Because sometimes, even the ocean needs a refresh
  • Power Supply is NOT included - Most homes already have a drawer full of unused power adapters, and we don’t want to add to that pile. Traditional electronics ship with a new power brick every time, even though most devices use the same basic 5V supply. It’s one of the biggest sources of unnecessary e‑waste — millions of perfectly good adapters end up in landfills each year simply because they’re bundled by default. By using a standard USB power input, Tidesy lets you reuse what you already have and helps cut down on that growing “power supply garbage” problem.

Frame:

  • The main body uses PLA, a plant‑based, non‑toxic, biodegradable thermoplastic, offered in black, white, and gray for a clean, modern foundation.
  • Tidesy INK comes with an acrylic white faceplate only.
  • The frame comes with a stand that can be adjusted to two angles, and the body of the frame has a mounting hole.

How it Works

Features

Your Tide Experience

One of the most empowering features in Tidesy is the ability to set your own preferred and warning tide levels—so the display isn’t just data, it’s a reflection of your beach instincts. Based on my experience, it’s clear how valuable it is to see at a glance when the tide hits that sweet spot for your favorite activities, whether it’s tidepooling, dog walks, or launching flying a kite. You also get a clear visual cue when the tide exceeds your personal “no-go” threshold—maybe it’s too high for safe beach access or there is simply not enough space for your favorite beach activity.

No more wading through endless tables. Tidesy keeps you dialed in to the conditions that matter most—right where you live, work, and explore.
