Your Tidesy device does not require a subscription. It works fully on its own — locally on your home network, forever — with or without Tidesy Cloud. The subscription only adds access to your dashboard from outside your home network. Buy the device once; cloud access is optional.
What Is Tidesy Cloud?
Tidesy Cloud is an optional online dashboard that shows your tide data in any web browser. You don’t need to be on the same WiFi network as your device — check your tides from work, from the car, or from across the country.
Think of it as a live copy of your Tidesy that travels with you. Every device comes with a free 6-month Tidesy Cloud trial — no payment details needed to start — and continues as Tidesy Premium after the trial.
How It Works
It’s simple:
- Open your Tidesy’s web dashboard at tidesy.local.
- Tap the Cloud button in the header.
- Copy the link that appears.
- Open that link on any device, anywhere.
That’s it. No account, no login, no app to download. Just a link you can bookmark.
How does this work? When you tap the Cloud button, your Tidesy sends your station list and display settings to a secure server. The online dashboard then pulls live tide, weather, and rain data from the same public sources your device uses. Your Tidesy doesn’t need to stay on — the cloud dashboard works independently.
Free for 6 Months
The first 6 months of Tidesy Cloud are on us — no payment details required to start. Your free trial begins the first time you open your dashboard link in a browser, and a countdown at the top of the dashboard shows how many days remain.
When the trial ends you can continue with Tidesy Premium, the paid subscription. If you decide not to subscribe, your device keeps working exactly as it always has — only the cloud dashboard becomes unavailable. You can subscribe later at any time and the same link will start working again.

Interactive 24-hour tide graphs for every station, with your preferred and warning zones, high/low markers, and alert bars.
Rain Forecast
Hourly rain overlay below each chart, color-coded from light drizzle to heavy downpour. Plan your day at the coast.
Weather Alerts
Full National Weather Service alerts with severity badges, timing, and detailed descriptions. Tap an alert to see the affected area on a map.
Weather Radar
Toggle live NEXRAD radar on any map to see approaching storms. Updates every 5 minutes.
Station Maps
Interactive maps with your tide station markers. View one station or all at once.
Tides at a Glance
Quick overview showing current tide level, rising or falling, and rate of change for every station.
Dark Mode
The cloud dashboard automatically matches your phone or computer’s dark/light setting. You can also toggle it manually with the button in the header.
Your Privacy
Tidesy Cloud is completely optional. It’s off until you tap the Cloud button.
When you turn it on, your Tidesy shares only your station list and display preferences (which tide levels you’ve set, which colors you chose). It does not share your WiFi password, your home address, your name, or any personal information.
If you sell your Tidesy or perform a factory reset, your cloud data is automatically deleted. The old link stops working, and the new owner gets a completely separate, unrelated link.
No tracking, no ads, no data selling. Tidesy Cloud exists to make your tide data more accessible. That’s all it does.
